JKSSB JE Civil Recruitment 2026: The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) announced Advertisement Notification No. 11 of 2026 on 27th October 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill 458 vacancies for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) across two major indenting departments: the Jal Shakti Department and the Public Works (R&B) Department in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
According to the official notification, the post carries a Pay Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400) pay scale. Out of the total 458 advertised positions, 282 vacancies are allocated to the Jal Shakti Department and 176 vacancies to the Public Works (R&B) Department. Selection for these UT Cadre positions will be conducted strictly based on merit obtained in an Objective Type Written/OMR Examination, followed by Document Verification.
The maximum age limit for Open Merit (OM) candidates is 40 years as of 01.01.2026. Applicants belonging to reserved categories including SC, ST-1, ST-2, RBA, ALC/IB, EWS, and OBC have a maximum age limit of 43 years, while Physically Challenged (PwBD) candidates are eligible up to 42 years.

Applicants are required to upload a live photograph, signature (10 KB to 20 KB), and self-attested PDF copies of their category and educational qualification certificates (up to 200 KB each). All qualification and domicile certificates must be valid on or before the cut-off date of 29th December 2026.
