Eligibility Criteria & Education Qualification

• 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a Government-recognized institute or Indian University, OR Degree in Mechanical Engineering, OR AMIE Section (A&B) India.
  

Candidates must be Domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued on or before the cut-off date (15.12.2026)

Age Limit (As on 01/01/2026)

• Maximum Age : 40 Years
• Age Relaxation Applicable as per JKSSB JE Apprentice Recruitment Notification Rules.

Selection Process for JKSSB JE Vacancy 2026

• Written / OMR Examination: A competitive written exam comprising objective-type questions. Final selection is based solely on merit secured in this exam.
• Document Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted on the basis of written exam merit must present original educational certificates, domicile certificate, category certificates, and birth proof.

Salary / Pay Scale & Benefits

• Pay Scale: Level-6 (Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400)

How to Apply For JKSSB JE Online Form 2026

1. Go to the official JKSSB portal at www.jkssb.nic.in.
2. Click on the online application link for Advertisement Notification No. 10 of 2026.
3. Complete candidate registration and select Item No. 265 for Junior Engineer (Mechanical).
4. Enter personal details, address, educational qualification, and category as stated in your Matriculation certificate.
5. Upload a live photo, signature (10–20 KB), category certificate (up to 200 KB in PDF), and self-attested qualification documents (up to 200 KB in PDF).
6. Pay the prescribed application fee (Rs. 600 for General/OM; Rs. 500 for Reserved categories) using Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
7. Submit the form, download the generated PDF application form, and keep a printed copy for Document Verification.
